The Heart Behind Seasons of Life Photography I started my photography journey 19 years ago when my oldest daughter was just 10 months old. After a frustrating experience at an in-store portrait studio, I realized I could create something better — something more personal, joyful, and true to each family’s story. What began as a way to capture my own growing family’s milestones has blossomed into Seasons of Life Photography, a place where I get to preserve memories for other families, too.

As a mom of five children ranging from ages 7 to 20, I’ve lived through many beautiful, messy, and fleeting seasons of life. Those experiences inspire everything I do behind the camera. Whether it’s a toddler’s mischievous grin, siblings laughing together, or parents soaking in a quiet moment, I want every photo to reflect the genuine love that makes your family unique. 

A Space for Every Season My home studio in New Albany, Indiana is where much of the magic happens — especially for my themed mini sessions designed for young children. I also love photographing families outdoors throughout southern Indiana and Louisville, where the natural light and ever-changing scenery bring color and energy to every image. Each setup, whether in-studio or outdoors, is carefully planned to help kids and parents relax, play, and connect. From Christmas minis to spring florals, every theme is created to spark joy and imagination while capturing authentic emotion. 

My Style and Approach My photography style is bold, colorful, and full of life — rich tones, vibrant colors, and natural light that make every moment feel alive. While I love a perfectly posed family portrait, my favorite images are often the unplanned ones — a giggle, a glance, or a burst of laughter that tells a story all on its own. Sessions with me feel more like catching up with an old friend than sitting for a formal portrait. I love to laugh and connect with families, and I often chat with kids about their favorite things to bring out real smiles instead of forced ones. Sometimes I’ll include simple activities or props to spark natural interactions — like tossing snowflakes, picking flowers, or reading a favorite book together.
